Qatar Mosque

It is designed in Neo-baroque style resembeling the famous Ortakoy mosque where in the facade and interior design are evident of Turkish architecture style.

The elevations consist of "high-bay windows" which create a reflection of the volume in the water ponds of the landscape, while also allowing day-light to enter the space.

The main prayer hall has a square plan which is covered with one dome.

The sliced facades with mounting columns are enriched by carvings as well as relief, giving the mosque a dynamic appearance. There are two rows of windows providing the main prayer hall a good illumination. 

The project is intentionally rasied above its surrounding roads to have a prominent presence in the area. A lower ground floor parking and ablution areas were provided for convenience of visitors and prayers alike. 

The Mezzanine floor consists of lady's prayer hall while the upper mezzanine level houses the Imam and Muazen.

The mosque can accommodate a total of 2,500 worshipers.
